Being a global citizen requires knowledge about the country and the world, as well as global skills such as Internet skills, global communication skills, the use of global languages, and global consciousness. The foundation of being a global citizen is a sense of self and one's nation. Global consciousness is about integrating but not dissolving, absorbing modern new things but also being selective and still retaining the traditional beauty of the nation; that is the process of "integrating but not dissolving.". . To become a global citizen, young people need to make conscious efforts in studying, cultivating knowledge for themselves, the knowledge of the nation and the world, and the trends. of global. Besides acquiring and learning knowledge, young people necessarily need life experiences to form life skills. Form global thinking, global consciousness, and national consciousness properly. However, Vietnamese youth are facing significant problems in becoming true global citizens: lacking the necessary interest in national and world issues, trends, opportunities, and challenges.
