I’d only been out of the house for a minute, but someone had already been in the house. I’ve been working on a history project for school, and I’d left the computer on. But it was now switched off (1..........). And the same thing had happened with the printer, which was disconnected as well (2..........). There was nobody else in the room (3..........) but I could see some mud on the carpet by the window (4..........), though the window itself was closed (5..........). Strangest of all, the notes for my project were now on the chair (6..........), and my glass of orange juice was empty (7..........). The TV wasn’t on (8..........), but I could hear some music coming from upstairs (9..........). I decided it was time to investigate.
