- Dùng với tính từ dài (2 âm tiết trở lên):
beautiful, dangerous, expensive, interesting...
???? less beautiful, less dangerous, less expensive… - Với tính từ ngắn (như: cold, big, tall...), thông thường dùng dạng -er:
colder, bigger, taller...
❗ Nhưng cũng có thể dùng “less” để nhấn mạnh nhẹ nhàng hơn, ví dụ:
less big (ít to hơn), less cold (ít lạnh hơn)...
E.g: Ann speaks French more fluently than James.
à James speaks French less fluently than Ann.
