Decide whether these statements are true or falseA WONDERFUL YEAR Ben Jones always knew he wanted to spend a year traveling before university. He wanted to see the world, improve his skiing, make new friends from other countries and, more than anything, try lots of things he has never done before. The first place he visited was France because he always loved the French language and he wanted to study it. Then, while he was there, he became interested in French food. He took some cooking lessons at a farmhouse in the French countryside, and learned to make lots of lovely dishes. Next, he visited Australia. His cousins live near the river in Sydney, so he had somewhere to stay. To begin with, he spent a lot of time sailing in the boat. But then he got a job in a hotel. It was great for him because the customers and staff were so friendly. His last country was Japan, where he learned to become a skiing teacher. He planned to do a three-week course. But when he got there, he saw that he wasn’t actually that good, so he changed to a seven-week one. The course was amazing afterwards he got a job with a skiing company. The other teachers were very friendly and on their days off, they did activities like snowboarding. One weekend they even did winter camping. That was quite interesting, but it was cold, so he couldn’t sleep well. Anyway, they are all planning to meet up soon and he can’t wait. Task 1.
