This is a five-day Hindu festival about the victory of light over darkness. Preparations are days ahead: cleaning
and decorating the houses. On the night of the festival, the people light up the houses, inside as well as outside,
join in prayers and had a big dinner.
Oktoberfest Beer Festival - Germany
This is the largest funfair in the world with millions of people from everywhere. Visitors come here to drink the
best beer of Germany. They can also enjoy a mixture of attraction such as fun rides, games and a wide variety
of traditional food.
La Tomatina - Spain
This festival attracts thousands of people to Buñol, in August. At around 11 a.m. of the day, tons of over-ripe
tomatoes are thrown into the centre of the town. Once the signal is given, the crowd starts throwing tomatoes at
one another. The fun fight ends in an hour. The festival also features music, dancing, parades and firework.
