My name is Mia, and I’m turning 13. I just started at an international school last month. At first, I was a bit worried because I don’t share the same background or culture with most of the students at the school. I thought I might not get on well with them. But then, I found out on the first day at school that they weren’t like what I imagine – they were kind and friendly.
The teachers and the staff at the school were also very welcoming. My homeroom teacher is very dedicated and caring. She was the one to help me get to my class on the first day at school. What a coincidence! My first impression of her was that she looked very young; I thought she was a senior student.
