GLASGOW CITY
Thirteen-year-old Mark Davis writes about Glasgow - the biggest city in Scotland.
When it comes to travelling to the UK, most people seem to think of London as the only place to visit. But the UK has more places to offer, and Glasgow is one of them. I was lucky to visit this beautiful city when I participated in a student exchange program last summer.
Glasgow is the largest city in Scotland and famous for its art, architect, and culture. The city is home to more than 20 museums and art galleries, and most of them are free to visit. It also has many beautiful historical buildings, churches and a variety of exciting festivals all year round. One of my favourite buildings is the University of Glasgow - the fourth oldest university in the English-speaking world. The university is large and looks like a castle. As I stepped inside, there were many great halls, beautiful spiral staircases, and a museum! Everything looks very artistic. But the reason why I love this building is that it looks like Hogwarts - a magical school for wizards in my favourite series Harry Potter.
