Tom was waiting at the park entrance for his friend Jake, who was late again. He checked his watch every few minutes, feeling more frustrated each time. The sun was setting, and he didn’t like to be at the park after dark. Tom tried calling Jake, but there was no answer, which made him even more annoyed.  He thought about leaving, but they had made plans to play basketball, and he didn’t want to miss out. Eventually, Tom sat on a bench, sighing heavily and wondering if he should just go home.
