My name is Mia, and I'm turning 13. I just started at
an international school last month. At first, I was a
bit worried because I don't share the same
background or culture with most of the students at
the school. I thought I might not get on well with
them. But then, I found out on the first day at school
that they weren't like what I imagine - they were
kind and friendly.
The teachers and the staff at the school were also
very welcoming. My homeroom teacher is very
dedicated and caring. She was the one to help me get
to my class on the first day at school. What a
coincidence! My first impression of her was that she
looked so young that I thought she was a senior
student.

My school campus is very large, with many buildings and
two sports field. The school facilities aren't much different
from other schools except the library. It has a unique
shape which makes me feel like Alice in Wonderland when I
walk around. What I love about the library is that it allows
me to browse ebooks and online materials from other
libraries.
Another thing I like about this school is that it has a lot of
clubs for extracurricular activities such as book clubs,
language clubs, volunteering clubs and so on. Many of my
friends choose to join the sports club because they think
it's a great way to relax. I think I'll join a club that has
something to do with acting.
