2. If we don't economize on electricity, there will be power cuts. This means that if we do not use electricity efficiently and save it, there will be a shortage of power leading to power cuts.

3. Although our team tried hard, we played unsuccessfully and lost the game. This shows that despite putting in effort, the team did not achieve success in the game.

4. Last year we chose one of our gifted students to take part in the competition. This means that out of all the options available, we selected a talented student to represent us in the competition.
