Young children learn English at school because it is one of their subjects. Many adults learn English because it is useful for their work. Teenagers often learn English for their higher university, because some of their books are in English at college or university. Others learn English because they want to read books, magazines or newspapers in English. Most people who learn English hope that they can talk to and understand others from all over the world.
