The rapid development of the economy has caused serious environmental pollution. The factor which is under great strain now is the source of water. This is because a large number of factories have been built, leading to a huge amount of waste that needs to be dealt with. However, many factories lack sewage treatment systems, so most of the waste is dumped directly into rivers or lakes. In addition, oil spills from tanker ship accidents also contribute to ocean population, which kills thousands of seabirds and sea animals. Furthermore, some people even dispose of the waste and throw trash into lakes and rivers. These actions are ideal conditions for bacterial, viral and parasitic diseases. They are spreading through polluted water and affecting human health. To solve the problem, there should be a proper waste disposal system. Raising awareness of people is also important.
