Last year, I had the opportunity to participate in the Mid-Autumn Festival in my hometown. This festival is celebrated on the 15th day of the eighth lunar month, which usually falls in September or October. The festival is a time for families to gather together, enjoy mooncakes, and admire the full moon.
During the festival, there were many activities and performances taking place in the town square. There were lion dances, dragon dances, and traditional music performances. Children were carrying lanterns of different shapes and sizes, adding to the festive atmosphere.
One of the highlights of the festival was the lantern parade. People of all ages carried their beautifully decorated lanterns and paraded through the streets. The lanterns were made of various materials such as paper, bamboo, and silk, and were designed in the shape of animals, flowers, and cartoon characters.
Overall, the Mid-Autumn Festival was a wonderful experience. It was a great opportunity to learn more about my culture and traditions, and to spend time with my family and friends.
