II. Sắp xếp các từ đã cho thành câu hoàn chỉnh.

1. Minh lives in a house near a lake.
2. There is a big yard in front of our school.
3. Are there many flowers to the right of the museum?  
4. What is there next to the photocopy store?
5. My father works in a hospital in the city.
6. How many people are there in Linh's family?
7. My friend's family in Hanoi doesn't live with him.  
8. Hoa gets up at six o'clock, brushes her teeth and... (câu này chưa hoàn chỉnh, có thể là "and goes to school" hoặc "and has breakfast",...)
9. Our classroom is on the first floor.
10. There are six rooms in Minh's house.

III. Lập câu từ các từ hoặc cụm từ đã cho.

1. There is a bed in the corner of the room.
2. There are shelves above the closet.
3. The wardrobe is in the center of the room.
4. There is a table between two chairs.
5. There is a lamp next to the bed.
6. The table is to the right of the wardrobe.

Giải thích:

• There is/There are: dùng để diễn tả sự tồn tại của một người, vật hoặc một số người, vật. "There is" dùng với danh từ số ít, "There are" dùng với danh từ số nhiều.
• Cấu trúc sắp xếp câu:
  • Câu khẳng định: S + V + O.
  • Câu phủ định: S + do/does/did + not + V + O.
  • Câu nghi vấn: Do/Does/Did + S + V + O?
• Giới từ chỉ vị trí: in (trong), on (trên), under (dưới), behind (phía sau), in front of (phía trước), next to (bên cạnh), to the right of (bên phải), between (giữa).
