On June 16th, 1963, Valentina Tereshkova, a Russian astronaut, became the first woman to explore outer space, but she only stayed there for three days.
Nowadays, astronauts stay longer on space stations. How do astronauts live and work in space for months when they always float?
When they work outside the space station, they have to wear spacesuits. However, when they are inside, astronauts wear clothes like we do on Earth. Doing exercise in space is different, too. It is easier to lift heavy things because there is no gravity. That means they have to use special exercise equipment. Life in space is really different from life on Earth.
