Environmental pollution is an urgent problem for all mankind. The indiscriminate disposal of garbage in my locality has a great impact on the living environment. But this is a very common phenomenon today, most evident in public places. The phenomenon of littering indiscriminately appears more and more, from places of study and work to famous places. Out on the street, we can easily see people handing out fliers. It wouldn't be worth mentioning if they didn't distribute it indiscriminately, causing the road surface to be filled with trash paper after just a few minutes. There are also many people who eat and drink while walking on the street and then conveniently throw away the shells and boxes on the street. Even parks, which are considered to have fresh air and help people have relaxing moments, cannot avoid the risk of pollution. It's sad when you sit on the stone bench and see the gum stuck in the slot, into the back of the chair. Visiting the scenic spots, we also see garbage everywhere. Hoan Kiem Lake, West Lake ... floating garbage is thrown down by people and tourists, especially during Tet holidays. The To Lich River is filled with black water, emitting a foul smell due to garbage paper, even the carcasses of animals that people unconsciously threw down. It is hard to believe that the river was once praised: “Two rows of labels on the banks of the fabric In the river, fish swim in flocks." Our students have also thrown garbage indiscriminately many times. At school, teachers remind them in class, but they don't seem to work or if they do, they only do it in school, when going out in society, to a larger extent, many of you have forgotten about this. The indiscriminate disposal of garbage causes serious harm to the environment and human life. Rivers and lakes are covered with garbage, so they cannot flow. More dangerous if people throw animal carcasses down, it will be the germ of many diseases, especially respiratory diseases. Streets also become unsightly when trash is everywhere. The image of the beautiful country of Vietnam will not cause sympathy with international friends because tourist destinations do not have a green-clean-beautiful scene. As for international tourists, many people still say "happy": Vietnamese tourism has four "b"s: "dust", "sad", "cling" and especially "dirty". This shows that Vietnam's tourism is increasingly losing ground in the eyes of the world if the above phenomenon continues. Not only that, every year our state has to spend a large amount of money to dredge the sewers after floods, river water overflows and carries garbage. Thus, littering indiscriminately causes harm to health and economic losses. Surely many people will wonder: littering has such a bad effect, why do people continue to do it? Perhaps the objective reason is that the trash can system has not been arranged properly, to find a trash can on a large street is sometimes very difficult. But mostly still due to human consciousness. For young children, they may not be aware of what they do, they just imitate and follow adults. Therefore, it is undeniable that Vietnamese people do not have a sense of preserving the environment. Most of them are used and thrown away while the trash can can be just a few steps away. There are also people who always keep in themselves selfish thoughts, just take care of keeping their house and place of work clean, going out on the street, directly throwing garbage. So in the face of this worrying situation, what should we do? First and foremost is to raise the awareness of the people, especially the young generation. Practical skills, knowing how to apply what you have learned to preserve the environment should be more focused than learning many theories like today. And perhaps to overcome the phenomenon of indiscriminate garbage disposal, the authorities should set up strict sanctions like in many other countries, so that people can actively comply. However, there are also many good news, more and more awareness programs are being popularized, somewhere on the streets we still see a glimpse of the blue shirt volunteering to clean the streets, pick up trash in the river. Lake. Those are the actions that we need to follow. In order for the environment to become clean and beautiful, and the society to become more civilized, each person must be aware of their responsibility for environmental protection. Right from the smallest actions such as preventing littering, we have contributed to the protection of the surrounding environment.
