Today, big cities are getting more and more people because of the trend of immigration into the city. Although it offers many advantages such as more job opportunities and higher living standards, the urban lifestyle makes rural residents choose to live a different lifestyle than before. Living in a big city can lead to many disadvantages as discussed below.
Urban centers are full of motor vehicles and other sources of pollution such as waste from large populations, or emissions from factories. Urban centers have very little or even a complete lack of green space with higher pollutants harmful to people. For a long time, lung cancer, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and asthma are just some of the common diseases in urban people.
Another disadvantage of life in a city is traffic congestion. Every day, many people struggle with traffic jams, who often face late arrival in their offices. They are always stuck for hours on their way to work. In addition, many transport vehicles on the street are the main distributor of air pollution that can lead to many adverse impacts on human health.
There is no denying that the cost of living in big cities is much higher than in rural areas. The impact of this may lead to the expensive cost of public services such as health services, postal services and education. The poor and workers will live in big cities with low minimum wages. They seem to struggle with the rapid change in prices of basic necessities and public services such as hospitals and schools.
