My favourite story is "The Lord of the Rings" by J.R.R Tolkien. The main characters are Frodo Baggins, Gandalf the Grey, Aragorn, Legolas, Gimli, and many more. The story begins with Frodo, a hobbit, being introduced to an ancient ring of power that was once possessed by the Dark Lord, Sauron. Frodo was assigned the daunting task of taking the ring to Mount Doom, the only place where it could be destroyed.

Throughout the story, Frodo and his companions encounter various challenges and obstacles on their way to the volcano. The book is full of action, adventure, and magic. The characters are all unique and bring something special to the story. Gandalf the Grey is wise and powerful and uses his magical abilities to help the group. Aragorn is brave and loyal, and Legolas and Gimli bring their own particular skills and strengths to the group.

Although I like all the characters, Frodo is the one who stands out the most for me because of his determination and bravery. His willingness to risk everything to destroy the ring shows his selflessness and his love for the world he lives in.

In conclusion, The Lord of the Rings is my favourite story because of the richly detailed world, the unique and relatable characters, and the epic adventure it takes the reader on.
