these traditions are falling out of favor with the younger generations along with the older ways of (3)  handcrafting the costumes. I photographed K'Long K'e,a (4) 101-year-old lady in her traditional costume, which was different from the newer versions I' d seen. Her indigo dye and hand-stitching graced dress, which she wore, draped across her shoulders (5) like a blanket. She passed away in 2017 (6) at the age of 102 and when I visited her village to pay my respects and to share her photograph (7)  with her family, I received an (8) unexpectedly moving gift: her (9) handcrafted blanket.
