Free time then and now

Teenagers today often (1) play video games or use the internet. Our grandparents' free time was often a bit different! In the past, many young people kept stamps in (2) an album, or built model aeroplanes. They read books or drew pictures, and sometimes wrote (3) letters to their penfriends. Perhaps they spent their (4) time making things, such as clothes. Of course, some teenagers today still (5) do these things, but they are not (6) as popular as they were.  

Not everything was different, though. Just (7) like today, teenagers in the past met their friends and had lunch (8) together while they talked about their lives, their hopes and their dreams. And as they got older, they found they had (9) more free time to enjoy. Perhaps some things stay the (10) same.
