Hi hue nguyen
How are things going? I hope you’re having a great week. Today, I’m so excited to tell you about Tet, our Lunar New Year. It is the biggest and most beautiful festival in my country.
Tet usually arrives in late January or early February, bringing a fresh breeze and a joyful atmosphere. For me, the most magical part is the preparation. My whole family gathers to clean and decorate our house with bright pink peach blossoms. The air is filled with the sweet scent of Chung cake—a traditional sticky rice cake that we boil overnight over a cozy fire.
On the first day of Tet, everything feels so peaceful. I love wearing my traditional Ao Dai and visiting my grandparents. The highlight for every child is receiving lucky money in tiny red envelopes. We always smile and wish each other a year full of health and happiness. Tet is not just a holiday; it’s a time for love and family reunions.
I wish you could taste the Chung cake with me one day! Have you ever celebrated a New Year in another country? Write back soon!
Warmly,
quỳnh anh
