Vietnamese traditions are well preserved and passed down through generations thanks to the Vietnamese people's love for their country. They have a long history of fighting against foreign invaders, such as China and France. This has made them very protective of their culture and traditions.

One of the most important traditions is Tet, the Lunar New Year. It takes place in January or February. The whole country stops working for a week to celebrate. People visit their families and give each other lucky money in red envelopes. They also clean their houses to get rid of bad luck from the old year.
