Tet is the largest traditional festival in vietnam. This is a chance for people to enjoy having fun and relaxing with their families and friends. There are a few differences between tet day in the north and south vietnam. In the north, the traditional food of tet is banh chung - a meat - shaped nếp cake wrapped in dong dong leaf. People often buy banh chung with some peach branches as a symbol of tet to decorate the house. In the south, people see apricot blossoms and tet cakes are tet symbols. The tét is made from the fold, and the nucleus can be peas, bananas or even meat. On new year' s eve, most families gather to eat dinner and rituals to commemorate the ancestors. On the first day of the year, children will wish the best to adults and receive money. In the rest of the time, people can go to the pagoda to pray for good, safe and healthy things. Tet is an important occasion for family and friends to close together after a hard year working, and it also adds momentum so that we can try harder in the next year.
