Being interested in paintings, I am completely fascinated by the "golden autumn" picture - eternal masterpiece of Levitan and russia. The picture was a perfect summarization of russian fall landscape. Yellow and golden are the predominant colours of russian autumn, therefore the painting was mostly covered in these colors. All the plants in the field are painted the golden yellow. The colour of the sky is a mixture of white and a little grey. The water in the river reflects the tint of the sky. The greensward is painted light green utterly suitable for the whole picture. Levitan has plenty of autumn painting, however, it is apparent why this one is the most outstanding. Despite simple layout, the colour harmony really makes it distinctive. While contemplating the picture, there is unexplainable sadness inside. It gives the seers the feeling of peace, warmth and familiarity. I think its success is to touch seers' hearts. Levitan's delicacy and talent for the picture has completely impressed seers all over the world.
