How is the new general education program different from the current one?

Bringing health education to the forefront is a big change. To make that change, the education sector, from managers, researchers, to schools, teachers, from program building to program implementation, must put health education first. .

The process of children studying in high school (from 6 to 18 years old) is also the process of children growing up and becoming citizens of society.

Most of the time children live at school, 5/7 days a week, 8/16 hours a day. Therefore, schools must educate children on how to take care of their health in a scientific way, practice how to dress, rest, and how to fight harmful effects on health...

The school also needs to monitor the physical progress of students every year like tracking the results of subjects in the past.

At the end of each year, it is necessary to assess students for physical changes, compare them with age standards, what condition are they in, what is abnormal, what solutions are needed to intervene.

Schools and the state monitor students' health developments over the years and generations to assess changes in that process and take appropriate solutions to improve their health, height and weight. of teenagers and young adults.

Redistribute the program to ensure a balance of educational aspects

The real importance of educational aspects, in which the priority for health education must first be reflected in the time allocation for educational aspects in the program.

For example, in a primary education program with 2 lessons a day, 7 periods/day, and 31 lessons/week, in the weekly "tetrahedral education", it is necessary to spend approximately 8 hours on each side of education. .

Programs or textbooks are important, the Ministry needs clearer direction

Health 8 hours, social relations 8 hours, world knowledge 8 hours, aesthetic ability 8 hours. Every day students are trained in these aspects in different forms.

The way to change that would be to actually reduce the cramming of the current curriculum in a radical way.

Those who are used to thinking that students go to school to learn subject matter will think that then students learn too little.

It should be conceived that students go to school to live and will learn through that life, not just learning during the hours devoted to subject knowledge.

When they practice their health, learn how to behave socially, learn the piano, learn to sing, learn to dance, learn to dance... they are learning and living, not just learning math and literature.

While the children learn about health, behavior, and aesthetics, they are also learning how to think (so far, it is a math show) and learn to use language to communicate (until now, it's been a stand-alone thing). performance of Literature-Vietnamese subject).

The curriculum of all levels above primary school, which is lower and upper secondary schools, must also be radically changed according to that concept.
