The Tay Ho village is located on the Nhu Y river, in Phu Ho commune, Phu Vang district, Thua Thien Hue province and about 12 km from the city center. Traditional craft hats were built hundreds of years ago and the hats of the poems appeared in the late 1950s - early 1960s.

Hue dream hats are made from young leaves of the pomegranate (or coconut leaves, leafy leaves) after picking in the forest and drying to yellow as the sun rays swollen summer days.
Outside of the home, visitors to Hue will see the industrious men splitting bamboo, ironing leaves spread around the yard. The straight-edged leaves are covered with distinctive colors that stand out as large rugs.
