I grew up with Doraemon, and this anime has taught me a lot of things. The movie has an entertaining plot. It's a fun program that develops children's creativity with "unreal" gadgets. This movie starts with Nobita's troubles (often of his own making) and Doraemon's treasure dealing with those problems, but then Nobita misuses the treasure and thus causes other problems. . Sometimes, the movie will get away with that, and teach us something much deeper, more emotional. I remember there were episodes where Nobita had to deal with grief like going back to the past to see her great-grandmother, or episodes where Doraemon went back to the future. When I was a kid I didn't like such episodes. However, now that I've grown up and look back, I appreciate what the author did. Those episodes are really loaded with complicated emotions. There are also movies that teach about friendship. All the main characters have personality defects, but the group of friends have sincerely accepted each other. Nobita is a lazy and compassionate child, and Doraemon is a good friend who always helps Nobita in most situations...
