What a load of rubbish!!
It's difficult to believe that 21.1______after_________the environment, we still have a long way to go before we succeed.
years of people working hard to fight pollution and take action 21.2___about_______Oceanographers have discovered a huge 'plastic soup' made from rubbish floating in the Pacific Ocean. This island of rubbish has been growing slowly for over 60 years and is now so big it goes from California to Hawaii and nearly to everything you could imagine, from plastic bags to children's toys and even plastic
Japan. It 21.3___over_____swimming pools!
The 'Great Garbage Patch' as it's sometimes called, causes 21.4___to____ of problems. One of these is the chemicals it produces in the sea. These chemicals and small pieces of plastic are now appearing in fish, and obviously, this means the plastic-filled fish could get 21.5____from___ our dinner plates!
It's not all bad news 21.6_____in_______At the moment, a conversation group is investigating if the 100 million tons of
waste can be turned into fuel and used in a positive way.
Let's hope they take action behind the 'plastic soup' now before it gets any bigger!
