In my country, India, there are several animals that are currently in danger and facing the risk of extinction. One such animal is the Bengal Tiger, which has seen a significant decline in its population due to habitat loss and poaching. Another endangered species is the Indian Rhinoceros, found in the northeastern region of the country, primarily in Assam. These rhinos are hunted for their horns, which are highly valued in traditional medicine.

The Gangetic Dolphin, also known as the South Asian River Dolphin, is another animal in danger. Pollution and the construction of dams have severely affected their habitat, leading to a decline in their population. The Great Indian Bustard, a large bird species, is also critically endangered due to habitat loss and hunting.

Lastly, the Olive Ridley Turtles, found along the coastlines of India, are facing numerous threats. They are often caught in fishing nets, and their nesting sites are being destroyed by coastal development. Efforts are being made to protect these animals through conservation programs and stricter laws against poaching and habitat destruction.
