A senior football administrator has (51) **made** female players angry by suggesting that they should wear different clothes in order to attract more interest in the sport. “Let the women play (52) **in** more feminine clothes like they do (53) **when** playing volleyball,” said Sepp Blatter, president of the football governing body, FIFA.

“Female players are pretty, (54) **if** you excuse me for saying so, and they already have some (55) **different** rules from men - like (56) **playing** with a lighter ball in female game, for example. That decision was taken to create a more female game so (57) **why** not do it with fashion too?”

Pauline Cope, the England goalkeeper, said the comments were “typical of (58) **a** man”. She went (59) **on** to say, “he doesn’t know what he is talking about. He’s wrong about the lighter ball for a start. And to suggest that we should wear more feminine football kit is ridiculous.” Marianne Spacey, the manager of Fulham, agrees with Cope. “Surely the game should be about skill and not about (60) **how** the players look.”
