LUNCH BREAKS AROUND THE WORLD

More and more people in the US don’t take a lunch break. They eat lunch at their desk instead. Here we take a look at countries around the world and what workers do on their lunch breaks.

We always take our lunch break at the same time every day, from 12 to 1. Sometimes people work from home, but I always go to the office cafeteria with my colleagues. The food is usually really good, and I have rice with fish or chicken and some vegetables. After lunch, I could do my exercise time. It’s a lot of fun to get to every day because it’s good for my health.

Our lunch break is from 1:30 to 2:30. Sometimes we go to a local restaurant for lunch, but I usually prefer to go home. My wife and I always come home for lunch, and we eat together. We usually have a small dish of pasta. My favorite choice is chicken with tomato sauce or fish, or we might have some fruit and a cup of coffee.

Lunch is the main meal in Guatemala. I usually have a lunch break from 12 to 1:30 and must return promptly to my office. We usually have heartier meals than in Italy, and I never have dessert, but when I do, I frequently have something sweet or a special treat.
