Health is our most valuable property which makes our life happier and more enjoyable. I believe that everyone has their own methods to keep them healthy. As far as I am concerned, a healthy diet, keeping off bad habits and taking medical examinations regularly are my own methods in staying healthy

According to nutritionists, a diet with a lot of cholesterol or fat food damages and causes many serious problems to our health, especially obesity. On the contrary, vegetable and fruit are good for human health by providing plenty of minerals and vitamins. In order to have a good health I have cut down some fat foodfoods andas well as added more vegetables and much fruit into my daily meals. Besides, I try to eat and drink in moderation that is a precious advice from my doctor for protecting our stomachs.

Moreover, our bad habits such as: drinking, smoking or staying up late are hidden enemies of our health. Drinking and smoking cause million of deaths yearly while staying up late is the reason of sleeplessness and stress. That is also the reason why I never smoke or drink and go to bed before 10:30 pm. Certainly, avoiding those unhealthy habits is a key to keep us healthier.

In addition, I see my doctor for taking the medical examination regularly twice a year to make sure that my health is good. Some healthy problems or diseases cannot be seen until they become serious. Therefore, taking medical examination regularly helps us realize and prevent dangerous diseases before they become worse.

On the whole, it is not too hard to figure out how to get a good health but it is more difficult to do that. Thinking about a healthy diet, avoiding drinking or smoking is very easy; however we all know that doing those is extremely difficult. We need one more thing than those tips to get good health. Unquestionably, it is our determination.

Eat your fruits and veggies. The U.S. Department of Agriculture recommends six to 11 servings of whole grains, three to five servings of vegetables, two to four servings of fruit, two to three servings of protein, and two to three servings of dairy. Enjoy fats and sweets sparingly, and choose healthy fats such as olive, coconut and avocado oil.

Exercise regularly. The Centers for Disease Control suggests at least 150 minutes of medium-intensity exercise per week and strength training at least two days per week. Brisk walking counts, and it's okay to exercise for a few minutes at a time as long as you meet the 150-minute mark before the week is up. If you're not into pumping iron, try exercises that use your body weight for resistance, such as yoga.

Visit your doctor, dentist and gynecologist for yearly checkups. They can help keep a small problem from turning into a big one.

Ask your doctor for a referral to a psychologist if you're feeling depressed or anxious. Stress and loneliness elevate cortisol levels, which can lead to weight gain and send your sympathetic nervous system into overdrive. This can raise your blood pressure, compromise your immune system and even cause heart disease.

Get seven to nine hours of sleep a night. If you suffer from long-term insomnia or excessive need for sleep, make an appointment with a sleep clinic. You may suffer from a treatable condition.
