So, as you know, I’m currently a university student pursuing engineering. The day they accepted me into this university is probably the most memorable and noticeable event in my life so far, and I was so happy since studying at this uni was my most anticipated dream during my high school years.

This year, I am in sixth grade, and Nhi is in fourth grade. Nhi's parents have also returned to live together after more than a year of separation. Nhi and I are not relatives, but we are very close! It all started from that time...

That year, I was in fourth grade and Nhi was in second grade. Poor baby Nhi! His father was addicted to gambling and drinking from morning to night, and he often beat his wife and cursed at his children. His mother could not stand it, and decided to bring him back to his grandmother. His grandmother's house is at the end of the village, next to my house. So we've known each other ever since.

One summer afternoon, I asked her to go out because I knew she was very sad. I ask:

Baby Nhi says:

- Do you know! Once upon a time, I dreamed that my house was like a big boat. Father is a strong mast and mother is a boat compartment that protects from rain and sun. My boat will carry my dreams to the destination. But now it can never be done.

- Don't be sad! Try! Come on, go! Go with him! I took baby Nhi to pick big bamboo leaves to fold a boat of leaves to float in the river.

I chose the biggest leaf and met a beautiful boat for baby Nhi. But Nhi could not hold it, she immediately dropped it into the water. The boats did not float. It ran aground right into the seaweed that was crawling in the middle of the stream. Baby Nhi says:

- That's it! My family is like that boat now, it can't go, it can only sink!

I both regretted and loved Nhi, so I kept bringing my clothes and wading into the river to pick up the boat. Water to the belly then to the neck. Suddenly "falling" my foot slipped into a mud hole in the middle of the river as soon as I reached the boat. I struggled to keep up while still lifting the boat out of the water with one hand. A few minutes later, I crawled up to the shore when my stomach was full of water, but fortunately the boat was not broken. Baby Nhi was pale, but very obediently listened to me say:

- Please keep it as a souvenir and believe that one day it will be able to swim freely in the river.

That day, for fear of being scolded by my mother, Nhi and I sat at the riverbank until our clothes were dry before we dared to return.

At night, I had a high fever, but I still kept it a secret that afternoon. My mother thought I had a fever, so I had a fever. Fortunately the next morning, I was much better.

The day his parents reconciled and returned to live together, he asked me to bring the boat to the river to drop. The boats were no longer released. So my brother and I were busy folding other bamboo boats. The folding boats that afternoon, each drifted to the end of the river. The secret between me and Nhi still remains to this day. It is also my fondest childhood memory!
