Recently, I immersed myself in the festive spirit of the Mid-Autumn Festival in Vietnam, known locally as Tet Trung Thu. The streets were adorned with vibrant lanterns in various shapes and sizes, creating a mesmerizing display of colors. Families gathered in parks and public spaces, carrying traditional mooncakes and homemade lanterns. The air was filled with laughter and excitement as children paraded around with their lanterns, their faces illuminated with joy. In the evening, a captivating lion dance performance unfolded, accompanied by the melodic sounds of traditional instruments. Families then gathered for a reunion dinner, sharing mooncakes and marveling at the full moon, which holds special significance during this celebration. The Mid-Autumn Festival in Vietnam was a beautiful blend of cultural traditions, familial warmth, and the enchantment of moonlit festivities.
