Today I would like to share about Linh, one of my closest buddies since I was at primary school.

Linh is the same age as me, and we have been good friends for more than a decade so far. I remember we first met 12 years ago and most probably it was a period when we were in grade 2. She was new in our city, and had prevously come from HCM City. She had just enrolled in the school and used to be my deskmate in the class for more than 3 years.

Our very first day together was possibly the most terrible day up till now. We simply quarreled over a pencil, although that was a misunderstanding, which was then clarified by us and that was our first step towards our lasting friendship.

However, I would say that first day was also one of the most memorable ones. Linh came to the class and couldn’t get an empty seat while I was sitting alone. She asked to sit along with me and introduced herself to bridge the gap between us. Soon after that we realized we were on the same page, although I was quite introverted while she was a social butterfly. From then onwards, we became good friends and our bond is getting stronger with the passage of time.

Recently, we are both engaged in our studies, which is the reason why we get very little time for each other to meet in person. But anyhow, we always keep in touch with each other and regularly share about our own life with ups and downs. In the holidays, we often plan to chill out together on the outskirts of the city to let our hair down and strengthen the bonds between us.

I regard her as my best friend as to me she is a shoulder to cry on and also an ally in all cases. Whenever I needed support, she was always there to boost me up. She is extremely considerate and one of the most trustworthy people I have ever met. I really hope that we could go longer and longer to be each other’s soulmate until the end.
