JACK-O'-LANTERNS

pumpkin. These carved pumpkins are lighted with a
candle. They are called jack-o'-lanterns. The tradition
began in Europe. Europeans carved scary faces into

help of an adult, you can make your jack-o'-lantern.

design on the pumpkin. You can make a scary face, an
animal design, or even a happy face. It is important to
let an adult help you carve out the holes. Finally, light
