  1. When we talk about hobbies, we can think of four main groups: doing things, making things, collecting things, and learning things. Among these four groups, gardening may be the most popular. We know that gardening is one of the oldest outdoor activities. It is suitable for almost everyone, even for children. When children engage in the gardening, they can learn about flowers, fruits, and vegetables. They can also get to know about insects and bugs. Gardening can also teach children to be patient and to take responsibility. They know that they have to wait for the plants to grow to maturity. And if they don’t water their plants, it is likely that their plants will die. These are valuable lessons about responsibility they can learn while gardening. It is also beneficial because everyone in the family can take part and do something together. My mom and I love gardening. We usually spend an hour a day taking care of the plants in our garden. It really makes us happy spending time together.
