When does Tet occur?
Tet Nguyen Dan (also known as Tet Tet, [1] Ta Tet, Lunar New Year, Traditional Tet or simply called Tet) is the most important and meaningful Lunar New Year holiday in Vietnam, along with the Lunar New Year culture of East Asian countries. Before Tet, Vietnamese people had customs such as "worship Tao Quan" (December 23 lunar calendar) and "worship Tat Nien" (29 or 30 December lunar calendar) Because the Lunar New Year is Lunar New Year, the Lunar New Year of Vietnam is later than the Lunar New Year (or Tet). Due to the law of 3 leap years a month of the lunar calendar, the first day of the Lunar New Year is never before January 21, and after February 19, the calendar falls in the middle of these days. The entire Lunar New Year festival usually lasts 7 to 8 days at the end of the old year and the first 7 days of the new year (December 23 until January 7). [2] Every year, Tet is held on the first day of the first lunar month in Vietnam and in some other countries where Vietnamese people live. Shopping for peaches and kumquat in the North, Central or Mai in the South is considered an indispensable preparation in the days of Tet holida
