Lion is muscular, big - size cat with short neck and a rounded head. The male and female lion look completely different from each other. Female lion has an ordinary shape of cat with light yellow fur. On the other hand, male lion has a prominent appearance with a large mane around its neck and a hair tuft at the end of the tail. Male lion is larger and heavier than female lion, but the females are the ones who hunt for the whole pack. They have long sharp fangs and claws to easily hunt bigger animals such as zebra, deer, bulls. Lion mostly inhabits grasslands and savannas, and it rarely appear in the dense forests. A pack of lions usually has a few male and cubs, and the rest are females. Lion is a beautiful creature which represents the magnificence of nature, but it’s population has been decreasing lately. Due to habitat loss and conflict with human, lion is on the way to appear in the endangered species list.
