Before Tet, my family and I get ready for the big celebration. We clean our house and put up decorations like flowers and fruit trees. We also buy special foods and presents for our loved ones. The days leading up to Tet are busy with errands and making sure everything is perfect.
During Tet, it's a time of happiness and togetherness. We start by visiting the temple to pray for good luck and remember our ancestors. Then, we have big meals with our family, eating yummy traditional foods like rice cakes and sausage. We laugh, tell stories, and play games together. We give each other red envelopes for good luck. Outside, the streets are colorful and lively with parades, dances, and fireworks.
After Tet, it's a bit sad as the holiday ends. We say goodbye to our relatives and friends who visited us. But we also feel hopeful and excited for the new year. We think about the fun times we had during Tet and make plans for the future. Even though life goes back to normal, we keep the happy memories of Tet in our hearts, knowing that it will bring us joy all year long.
