One of the most popular festivals in my country is the Diwali festival, also known as the Festival of Lights. It is celebrated all over India, but I will talk about how it is celebrated in my hometown of Mumbai.

The festival usually falls in October or November, and the weather during this time is usually cool and pleasant. People clean and decorate their homes with colorful rangoli designs and light up their houses with diyas (oil lamps) and fairy lights. The entire city is illuminated with lights and fireworks, creating a magical atmosphere.

During Diwali, people visit temples to offer prayers and seek blessings for prosperity and happiness. Families come together to exchange gifts, sweets, and traditional Indian snacks. There are also cultural performances, music, and dance events held throughout the city.

As for me, during Diwali, I usually spend time with my family, lighting diyas, bursting firecrackers, and enjoying delicious homemade sweets. It is a time of joy, togetherness, and celebration, and I always look forward to this festival every year.
