5. "Don't drink the local water" said the guide. => The guide warned us not to drink the local water.

6. "I have to clean my house every morning". Hung said. => Hung said that he had to clean his house every morning.

7. "Are you watching TV now?" The teacher asked the children. => The teacher asked the children if/whether they were watching TV then.

8. "She should get up early every morning". My mother said that. => My mother said that she should get up early every morning. (Có thể giữ nguyên "should" trong câu tường thuật.)

9. Nga asked, "Did your father watch Joo Mong film last night, Nam?" => Nga asked Nam if/whether his father had watched Joo Mong film the night before.

10. "Go ahead, you must enter the for the contest, Nam". Minh said. => Minh encouraged Nam to enter the contest.

11. They said, "We have to do the assignments now." => They said that they had to do the assignments then.

12. "I really must see the manager in prison" the man insisted. => The man insisted that he really had to see the manager in prison.

13. "Open the windows, please". My mother asked me. => My mother asked me to open the windows.

14. "Students at secondary school and high school rarely sing English songs". She said. => She said that students at secondary school and high school rarely sang English songs.

15. "Have you drunk a cup of coffee, Tuan?". Tuan's mother asked. => Tuan's mother asked Tuan if/whether he had drunk a cup of coffee.

16. Ngan told Mai, "Don't feed the chickens." => Ngan told Mai not to feed the chickens.

17. They said, "Our teacher sometimes explains the difficult lesson." => They said that their teacher sometimes explained the difficult lesson.

18. "Why don't we share the cost?" Peter said. => Peter suggested sharing the cost.

19. Nam said, "I am doing my homework now." => Nam said that he was doing his homework then.

20. "Don't throw trash away". My father advised me. => My father advised me not to throw trash away.

21. "OK, I'll take you to work in my car, Nam" said Tung. => Tung agreed to take Nam to work in his car.

28. "Don't talk in class", Our teacher said. => Our teacher advised us not to talk in class.

29. The policeman said, "Please show me your driving licence." => The policeman asked me to show him my driving licence.

30. "I didn't break your window" he said. => He denied breaking/having broken your window.

31. "She can draw pictures beautifully". Hung said to me. => Hung said to me that she could draw pictures beautifully.

32. "We have finished our essays yet". The girls said. => The girls said that they hadn't finished their essays yet.

33. "Don't touch this button or you'll get an electric shock", the man said to me. => The man warned me not to touch that button or I would get an electric shock.
