There are many occasions in my life which I treat as important events and out of those, my admission to the (...say your university name...) was a very special occasion for me. Since the university is located in (...say a city name...) I would say this occasion took place there. I got admitted to this university in 2004 and I had to compete with several other students to be accepted. It is one of the most famous university and for a single position, more than 20 candidates compete.

My future career, what I will do, where I will be and what I will become would be shaped by this event. If I had been admitted to a different university in a different faculty, things in my life would have been different. That's why I consider this event as a very significant event in my life. When I came to get admitted to the university, my father was with me.
As I have already told this was a very important occasion in my life as it would shape my future and what I become. I felt very overwhelmed when I got admitted to this university. I felt proud to be allowed to study there, and my parents were very proud as well. I felt bit sad that I would have to leave my family afterwards but I knew that was for a greater purpose. I felt that a different part of my life is going to start and I was determined to follow the right track with time.

Without any doubt, Michel de Montaigne. Now, his complete essays is quite a long read and entirely worth it. His essays are arguably the most important collection of essays in Western literature, and are considered one of the canonical works.

“I, myself, am the subject of my books.”

Not only are they brimful with ancient wisdom, Greek and Latin poems, quotes, they cover extraordinary wide range of topic. Subtle, profound, perchance rueful at times…

Now, if I have to chose five most important works, eight times out of ten, his essays will be in there. I can say I have read them twice. And I have learned something new with every reading.

I like essays of Yeats, Stevens ( The necessary Angel ), Auden ( The dyer´s hands ), Eliot.

May I point out also Arthur Hallam, as he died at very young age, his collection is sadly depraved and rather scarce. ( Tennyson and In Memoriam A.H.H ) Anyways, I have been enjoying in his works lately. I recommend him too.

Your favourite festival
Vietnam is a country with many festivals. Each province also organizes festivals full of regional identity. They have also participated in some festivals that they feel very interesting. Or have you enjoyed the unique festivals in other countries on trips with family and relatives.My favourite festival is also one of the greatest Buddhist festivals in the northern part of Vietnam. That's Huong pagoda festival

The Youngtown Inn has long been a favorite restaurant for my family. It's our choice when the occasion is special, because the overall experience is in another league from dining at other restaurants in the Camden area. The ambience strikes just the right note between private and public - somehow the dining room and porch inspire good dinner conversation without tending to either extreme: it doesn't have that hushed 'fancy' restaurant aura, and neither are you shouting to your companions just to heard over the ambient din. I've been there dressed up as well as more casual, and have not felt uncomfortable either way. I don't bring my younger children there - they don't really have a children's menu - but to me that's part of their charm and what contributes to making it our special place. We'll bring our kids to other restaurants where the atmosphere is more hectic, and even if the food is as tasty, the overall experience cannot rise to exceptional, mostly because including kids in a meal means that you need to split your attention between the meal itself and your parental duties. Of course, the bottom line for any restaurant must be the food. The food is tremendous - you can tell that there is always great attention to detail from appetizer through dessert. Over the years I have probably had at least a dozen meals here, and without exception every one has been delicious. Most recently, my husband and I celebrated our wedding anniversary here, and we did not make a big deal out of the occasion, but apparently MaryAnn overheard our conversation, because after our entree we were presented with two glasses of Tawny Port as an anniversary present. It was a wonderful surprise!

At Tet, spring fairs are organized, streets and public buildings are brightly decorated and almost all shops are crowded with people shopping for Tet. At home, every is tidied, special food is cooked,offerings of food, fresh water, flowers and betel are made on the family altar with burning joss- sticks scenting the air. First-footing is made when the lucky visitor comes and children are given lucky money wrapped in a red tiny envelope. Tet is also a time for peace and love. During Tet, children often behave well and friends, relatives and neighbors give each other best wishes for the new year.
