I have a best friend, and his name is Minh. Minh has been my classmate since we were in elementary school, and it means that we have been friends for more than ten years. Minh lives near my house, so it can be said that he is also my neighbor. He is a chubby boy with curly black hair. He wears a pair of very thick classes since he is short eye sighted. He has been wearing them since he was a little boy, and it is hard to recognize him without his classes even for me. Minh is a good student at our school, but in return he is pretty bad at outdoor activities and sports. He spends most of his time to study, and his free time is used for playing video games or eating. I am his best friend, but my appearance is total opposite from him. I am a tall and slim girl, and I love to play sports like basketball and badminton. I try my best to take him outside, but I usually fail to do so. Instead, I will sit down and play games with him, and after that we will go outside to get something to eat. He helps me a lot with the school work, and we usually study together. We do our own homework, but after that we will exchange our notebooks to check other’s result. Every morning he stops by my house and waits for me to go to school together. We ride our own bike, but recently his mother has an idea for him to work out that he has to take me to school on his bike as his morning exercise. Although he is not a prominent boy, most of the classmates still like him because of his kind and gentle personality. I am proud to have a friend like him, and I think that we are totally suitable for each other.

People say that friendship cannot exist between a girl and a boy, but I and my best mate Nam are proving that statement is wrong. Nam is my neighbor, and we are even study in the same class. Every morning, Nam stops by and picks me up in his bike, and sometimes I make him breakfast in other to thank him for being my driver. He is tall and slim, so I have to chase him when we walk together. He always makes a joke on me for being shorter than him. After school, we usually do our homework together at my house, and my mother always invites him to stay for dinner. We like each other a lot, and we will be best friends forever.

There is almost no exercise that can challenge her, but sometimes Lan cannot get the highest score since she has a sloppy personality. Despite being a good student, Lan is very modest. She is willing to take the time to help other friends understand the lecture better, and sometimes she helps to check the results of our homework. Besides learning and eating out, Lan also likes to play sports. We often go to the pool at the weekends, and swimming is the reason that gives Lan an ideal height at her age. Lan is a little shy and does not like to communicate with many people, but she has a great love for animals. Her parents have 2 cats and one dog, and I always hear Lan calls them sisters and brother. I am Lan's only best friend, and sometimes I feel happy when she says she loves me as much as she loves her "siblings”. She can write, read and speak fluently in both Vietnamese and Chinese, and that it really impressive for most of us. She lives in a Chinese area of the city, so sometimes she takes me there to enjoy the significant food from her mother country. I have to admit that I have never been a fan of Chinese cuisine, but the food there is so excellent that I ask her to take me there to eat every weekend. Although her house is not near mine, she has to go past my house to reach to school; therefore, she usually stops by and waits for me. Sometimes I ask her to buy me breakfast from her neighborhood, and in return I will be the one who rides her to school. She is a very friendly, outgoing and hilarious girl, so we always laugh out loud whenever we have time to chat with each other. This summer she will go back to China for a few weeks, and I think I am going to have a sad summer without her taking me everywhere. Tam is such a good girl, and my life would be very boring without her; therefore, I will consider her as my best friend forever.
